Shameem Taheri-Lee is an exciting up and coming jazz vocalist, with a fresh and invigorating style. She is equally at ease singing soulful ballads, swinging jazz standards or sultry Brazilian grooves.
Shameem enjoys performing in anything from duo to quintet settings. Her groups are composed of the finest musicians among her fellow students at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where she is currently taking the Bachelor of Music course. They can conjure up both an infectious entertaining performance and a relaxed and chilled out atmosphere.
Shameem has performed at popular music and entertainment venues all around Perth, including the Perth Concert Hall, Subiaco Arts Centre, Perth Town Hall, Universal Bar, Uber Lounge, Esplanade Hotel Fremantle and the Swan Hotel. She has also performed numerous times at Perth's most prestigious jazz clubs Perth Jazz Society, the Jazz Club of WA and Jazz Fremantle.
